This was one of the most intense editorial challenges I’ve worked on. A top-3 media in their niche asked me to help restructure and visually update their long-form library — hundreds of articles written over 7 years.
What I did
I started with an audit. We mapped out outdated content, merged duplicates, and prioritized updates by traffic and business value. I rebuilt over 300 articles: rewriting headlines, adding clear structure, and aligning tone with the new brand voice.
I also worked with designers to create over 1,500 custom illustrations. We introduced visual storytelling rules and modular image types, so the team could scale faster later.
Results
The updated library boosted time-on-page by 38% and dramatically improved readability. Our structured content system helped the client launch a redesigned website without content chaos — and train a new team on how to maintain it.
